PM Modi gave Gandhi peace honor to Mujibur Rahman, said- I had also given arrest for the independence of Bangladesh

PM Narendra Modi has given the Gandhi Peace Prize posthumously to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the first day of his two-day visit to Bangladesh. 

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented the honor to PM Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Mujibur Rahman, who is the founder of Bangladesh.  He said that today 50 years of the independence of Bangladesh is coming to an end and it is a matter of pride for us to get an invitation on this occasion.  PM Narendra Modi said that the desire for independence of Bangladesh was as much in India as it was among the people here.


 Not only this, PM Narendra Modi said that the freedom movement of Bangladesh was the first movement of my life.  He said that I had also given arrest during the movement in support of Bangladesh independence.  Addressing the event organized at the National Parade Square in Dhaka, PM Narendra Modi also mentioned the contribution of former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi in the creation of Bangladesh.  He said that we all know about the efforts of Indira Gandhi.

 PM Narendra Modi said that the challenges of both our countries are common and we have to go together.  He said that we are both democratic countries and we need to go together.  Governments of both countries have shown that each issue can be resolved by mutual trust.  There has been a great synergy between the two countries even in the era of Corona.  He said that I am happy that the Corona vaccine made in India is of use to the exiles of Bangladesh.  The future of India and Bangladesh awaits countless moments filled with harmony and trust.  PM Narendra Modi concluded his speech giving the slogan of Jai Hind, Jai Bangla.


50 entrepreneurs of Bangladesh invited to come to India

 PM Modi said that on the occasion of the completion of 50 years of Bangladesh, I want to invite 50 entrepreneurs here to come to India.  Along with this, I am also announcing the Golden Jubilee Scholarship for the youth of Bangladesh.  PM Modi said that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had said that no one has enough power to stop the freedom of Bangladesh.


 Targeting Pakistan, said - skeptics proved to be wrong

 PM Narendra Modi said that I am happy that Bangladesh is showing its power to the world under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina ji.  The Prime Minister indirectly targeted Pakistan and said that those who had doubts about the existence of Bangladesh have proved to be wrong.
