Our history and belief is one ... Imran Khan gave message to Bangladesh on completion of 50 years
It has been 50 years since Bangladesh broke away from Pakistan. On this occasion, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Bangladesh, Pakistani PM Imran Khan also congratulated his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina. In a letter to Sheikh Hasina, Imran Khan urged to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries and said that the history-trust of the two countries is one.
According to Pakistan's Dawn News, Imran Khan also invited Bangladeshi PM Sheikh Hasina to visit Pakistan for the first time.
In his letter, Imran Khan wrote, "I, on behalf of the government and the people of Pakistan, congratulate Bangladesh on its 50th anniversary." He further wrote, 'Pakistan attaches great importance to friendly values with Bangladesh, which are based on shared history, shared trust'.
Let me tell you that in this congratulatory message, Imran Khan emphasized joint efforts between the two countries for better relations in future and forging stronger relations than before.
Explain that in 1971, East Pakistan was separated from Pakistan and formed a country which was now known as Bangladesh. India had an important contribution in the independence of Bangladesh.
